  1. epic27 - Portland & Fair Isle Defrag

Hello Guys & Gals, Firstly, this is a little short notice and late, however this is due to the fact that ticket sales have only just started picking up over the last few weeks, and the seating plan has started to get a little fragmented as a result. To make everyone aware, only the rooms named PORTLAND & FAIR ISLE will be getting defragged. Lakeside still has plenty of seats (and we can always open another row if needed to accommodate any late ticket sales). Please be aware, if you are part teams then you will need to get your players to buy tickets as soon as possible otherwise I will end up bunching part teams together to make space for others. This is a major responsibility to shoulder with regards to the seating plan and how to keep everyone fairly happy. In previous events, we have accomplished of keeping the majority of people happy with this, however please understand that this is a tough thing to accomplish. We have people attending on their own, all the way up to groups of 10+. We will be reaching out as much as possible to organise this the best we can. The logistics of this is very time consuming and takes a lot of work by ourselves. We are happy to discuss alternatives and as much as we want everyone to be 100% happy, there may need to be some compromises and I would ask that you work with us to come to such agreements if needed. As a final further point. We will not tolerate any sort of toxicity within this thread or anywhere on these forums or any other public forum (social media, discord etc.) Please respect both ourselves and each other throughout this process. We don't do this for our own benefit, we do this to make sure everyone has a... EPIC LAN! Here are some vital things to follow The seating plan will be LOCKED on June 8th & 9th for me to do the changes necessary. If you have any specific requests, please use this thread to communicate and please make sure you communicate these requests in a efficient manner (ie please check with others in your group or groups that everything is as it should be). Once June 9th (at 11pm) rolls around, I will take no further requests from anyone and the seating plan will be locked until LAN. Thanks
  2. seating and snoring

want to mention two things 1)seating defrags will be happening closer to the event so make use of clan tags and contacting the defragger with info for your group/friends. 2)leave walking space in sleeping areas PLEASE.(I dont want to injure my self) this is not about causing arguements.
  3. epic22 - Event Defrag

Hello Guys & Gals, Another sell out event, so congratulations to anybody who helps contribute to our success and we much appreciate your support. However with sell out events comes major responsibility to our shoulders with regards to the seating plan and how to keep everyone fairly happy. Last event I we managed to make everyone fairly happy, however please understand that this is a tough thing to accomplish, we have larger groups which are odd numbers, and 1v1 type games in Fair Isle with the usual 5 man teams and of course Overwatch now with teams of 6. If you are a casual player and wanting atmosphere, we strongly urge you to go into Lakeside. Fair Isle is the competitive hall, and is treated as such for that reason, We won't force you to move of course, but it would be much appreciated if you were casual and wanted a smaller LAN feeling to sit in Lakeside. Last couple of events what we did, was group all respective gaming communities and placed them in the appropriate parts of the hall, if you were a Dota team, you were down the Dota row, if you were CS:GO you were in the CS:GO rows, that same logic will continue for this event too as it makes it better for all players and admins involved. Similarly, in Lakeside, we would group communities together as much as possible, whether that be back to back or full row. keeping spaces for other people to book up last min (as usual) Here is the process for people in Lakeside Here is the process that everyone will need to follow in Fair Isle. Looking to have some drafts in the next coming days and have a final plan ASAP. Thank you for your cooperation and see you in a couple weeks time ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the Lakeside 1st draft. Let me know if anything needs changing or any preferences. I will always do what I can but cannot make any massive promises. With Lakeside filling up so quickly lots of people are scattered in some cases so we need to make sure those guys are catered for, but that we don't split up any groups Thanks

Specifically calling @Darbsterkill, @TheLongDark, @left-one, @SourzFam, @Pyder, @NoobishGamerOne. This is your friendly warning before I start on the defrag in the coming weeks. So please, if you spot anyone who has not got the right clan tag, tell them to change it! Thanks for your co-operation
  5. Hello Guys & Gals, Another potential sell out event, so congratulations to anybody who help contribute to our success and we much appreciate your support. However with sell out events comes major responsibility to my shoulders with regards to the seating plan and how to keep everyone fairly happy. Last event I managed to make everyone fairly happy, however please understand that this is a tough thing to accomplish, we have larger groups which are odd numbers, and 1v1 type games in Fair Isle with the usual 5 man teams. It becomes a tough nightmare for me to do, and becomes even worse if people don't follow the instructions. If you are a casual player and wanting atmosphere, I strongly urge you to go into Lakeside, we already have a couple of teams who really don't want to be in Lakeside (because of noise levels) but were forced to sit in there due to the circumstances of lacking 5 seats together in the run up to sell out. Fair Isle is the competitive hall, and is treated as such for that reason, epic.LAN won't force you to move of course, but it would be much appreciated if you were casual and wanted a smaller LAN feeling to sit in Lakeside. Last couple of events what I did, was group all respective gaming communities and placed them in the appropriate parts of the hall, if you were a Dota team, you were down the Dota row, if you were CS:GO you were in the CS:GO rows, that same logic will continue for this event too as it makes it better for all players and admins involved. Here is the process that everyone will need to follow in Fair Isle. The current schedule (barring any issues in my own life currently) will be as follows: Draft Seating Plan released to everyone on this forum - October 4th (Tuesday) Final Seating Plan being done - October 8th/9th (Saturday/Sunday) Hope this helps Gumpster
