Cold water tap

Recommended Posts

Guest Psycix

Last Epiclan I was quite annoyed when I found out all the taps dispensed warm water.

Warm water is usually not very suitable for drinking, and I normally drink lots of tap water. (And so should you! Drinking a lot of water is healthy! ;) )

So I would like to know: Is there a coldwater tap anywhere?

There is a drinking water tap in the gents toilets on one of the sinks, it was there last event, we asked the venue to install it specifically for us.

Ah that is great!

Though there are multiple gents toilets with like 10 taps each.

Does each of them have a cold water tap or is there only one tap? If so, which toilet, upstairs, downstairs?

Main block of toilets upstairs just off the gallery. Not sure if the others do, but I remember that one because we specifically asked for it.

It was one of the things we had asked for after our first LAN at KCC 2 years ago.  We didn't particularly like brushing our teeth with warm water.  My last memory of it, a year ago, was that the tap as a little worse for wear.

As to position - it's in the main gents toilets (not the "converted" ladies) between Pendeen and Portland and it's at the Pendeen end of the row of sinks.

Will us ladies be allowed in the gents for use of this tap?

Believe me, you really don't want to go into a gents.

Ever.

Especially not at a LAN. I'd buy a bottle of water from the fridge if I were you!

You don't have to buy it you can request cold tap water from the bar or catering if it's early on in the day and the bar isn't open. I think the guys were just pointing out that you really don't want to be venturing in to the male toilets and that sourcing water from else where would be a better way than going in to the bog of doom.

You know, you're going to see each other in a matter of hours. Besides, this is no longer a cold water tap topic because it's now HOT with all these replies c:

epic24 seems so long ago and I haven't been back since. Having taken the 3v3 Rocket League tournament, I'm hungry for more.

      And so...

I have plans to return to epic27 with a new team behind me! I am incredibly excited as epic24 was my first taste of a LAN and I loved every minute of it. It's completely worth the 700 miles round trip and I'm ready to do it all over again!
