WWE 2017 Royal Rumble Prediction Thread

Recommended Posts

It's time for our Royal Rumble prediction thread. Here's your chance to guess up to 30 people to join this year's rumble, excluding those already confirmed of course.

The deadline for your predictions is 20th January, any entrants confirmed by that point by WWE will not be counted towards the final totals. Therefore at this time, the following entrants cannot be selected, leaving you with 22 guesses to make. You may edit your guesses up until 20th January at which point guesses will be locked.

Confirmed Entrants

  1. Goldberg
  2. Brock Lesnar
  3. Big E
  4. Kofi Kingston
  5. Xavier Woods
  6. Chris Jericho
  7. Braun Strowman
  8. Baron Corbin

And for the fun of it, I'm going to give 500 epic points to the person who gets the most guesses correct.

      It's that time again...

      The Card
Kick Off Show WWE United States Title: Ryback vs Kalisto WWE Women's Title: Charlotte (w/ Ric Flair) vs Natalya (w/ Bret Hart) WWE Tag Team Tournament #1 Contender: The Vaudevillains vs Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz vs Cesaro WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles Chris Jerico vs Dean Ambrose Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler And for the lols, what's Vince McMahon going to decide about control of RAW...
      My Prediction
Kick Off Show WWE United States Title:  Kalisto WWE Women's Title: Charlotte WWE Tag Team Tournament #1 Contender: The Vaudevillains WWE Intercontinental Championship: Cesaro WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns Chris Jerico vs Dean Ambrose: Dean Ambrose Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens: Sami Zayn Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler: Baron Corbin What's Vince McMahon going to decide about control of RAW: Something along the lines of The Authority takes 2 weeks, Shane takes 2 weeks and then something at the next PPV to really really finally decide again.

Thought for WM32 I'd kick off a bigger discussion thread as part of the build up rather than just the usual prediction thread, though we will include that as part of the discussions once there is an idea of the full card.

What was initially looking a bit dire is finally starting to shape up to be far more interesting. I'm assuming that Roadblock on Saturday changes nothing (it's only a network special), so the card as it stands so far is:

Triple H vs Roman Reigns (WWE World Heavyweight Championship) Shane McMahon vs The Undertaker (Hell in a Cell Match - If Shane wins, he gains control of Raw) Dean Ambrose vs Brock Lesnar (No Holds Barred Street Fight) Charlotte vs Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks (Triple Threat - WWE Divas Championship)
I don't know how they'll do it, but I've a sneaky feeling that Shane will win due to some sort of interference and prompt a huge shakeup of Raw. We've already seen in the last few weeks a lot more swearing (even from Vince) and authorised use of fake blood, so something is coming...

It's a new year (yes it is) so it's a reset on the PPV prediction thread scores, which finished with @JoeShow as the winner. We already have the Royal Rumble match prediction thread which will be scored separately, so here's the traditional PPV prediction.

      The Card
Kick Off Show Fatal 4-Way Rumble Qualifier: Dudley Boyz vs The Ascension vs Mark Henry & Jack Swagger vs Darren Young and Damien Sandow WWE Divas Championship: Charlotte vs Becky Lynch WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos vs The New Day WWE Intercontinental Championship Last Man Standing Match: Dean Ambrose vs Kevin Owens WWE United States Championship: Kalisto vs Alberto Del Rio WWE World Heavyweight Championship 30-Superstar Royal Rumble Match: Lots of People
      My Prediction
Kick Off Show Fatal 4-Way Rumble Qualifier: Darren Young and Damien Sandow (I really have no idea but these 2 are as random as any other) WWE Divas Championship: Becky Lynch (but via DQ so no championship change) WWE Tag Team Championship: The Usos (feel The New Day are losing momentum and they're building up the Usos e.g. Slammy win) WWE Intercontinental Championship Last Man Standing Match: Dean Ambrose (so over right now and think there's better plans for KO going towards Wrestlemania) WWE United States Championship: Alberto Del Rio (not going to rebound again to Kalisto so quickly after Raw) WWE World Heavyweight Championship 30-Superstar Royal Rumble Match: Triple H (revenge etc)

epic24 seems so long ago and I haven't been back since. Having taken the 3v3 Rocket League tournament, I'm hungry for more.

      And so...

I have plans to return to epic27 with a new team behind me! I am incredibly excited as epic24 was my first taste of a LAN and I loved every minute of it. It's completely worth the 700 miles round trip and I'm ready to do it all over again!
